The work Thai Lanna Farmhouse by Thawan Duchanee was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. It achieved a price of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 130,017.02), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. Admittedly, works by Thawan Duchanee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scream of Sorrowful in November this year with an auction result of HKD 6,048,000.00 (€ 709,702.97).

Die Arbeit Thai Lanna Farmhouse von Thawan Duchanee kam im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 130.017,02) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Thawan Duchanee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scream of Sorrowful im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.048.000,00 (€ 709.702,97).
