Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Falcon God by Thawan Duchanee was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2015. It changed hands for a price of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 44,001.27) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Thawan Duchanee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Scream of Sorrowful in November this year with an auction result of HKD 6,048,000.00 (€ 709,702.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Falcon God von Thawan Duchanee wurde im Mai 2015 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 44.001,27) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Thawan Duchanee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Scream of Sorrowful im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.048.000,00 (€ 709.702,97).
