This artwork by Tetsuya Ishida achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December 2008. In the Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) auction, the work Supermarket sold for HKD 1,580,000.00 (€ 146,432.93) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tetsuya Ishida have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Men On A Belt Conveyor in July last year with an auction result of HKD 8,064,000.00 (€ 1,006,221.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 98 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tetsuya Ishida erzielte im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Sale (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Supermarket für HKD 1.580.000,00 (€ 146.432,93) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tetsuya Ishida auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Men On A Belt Conveyor im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 8.064.000,00 (€ 1.006.221,53).
