Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tchan Fou-Li could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century Chinese Art auction, the work Mekong Riverbank changed hands for HKD 20,000.00 (€ 1,957.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tchan Fou-Li - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Des Voeux Road West, which sold at auction in October 2012 for HKD 47,500.00 (€ 4,728.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tchan Fou-Li konnte im April 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art wechselte die Arbeit Mekong Riverbank für HKD 20.000,00 (€ 1.957,78) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tchan Fou-Li mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Des Voeux Road West beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für HKD 47.500,00 (€ 4.728,74) versteigert wurde.
