Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Life Afloat by Tchan Fou-Li was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 27,500.00 (€ 2,737.69) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Tchan Fou-Li have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2012 the work Des Voeux Road West was auctioned for HKD 47,500.00 (€ 4,728.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Life Afloat von Tchan Fou-Li kam im Oktober 2012 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 27.500,00 (€ 2.737,69) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Tchan Fou-Li konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2012 die Arbeit Des Voeux Road West für HKD 47.500,00 (€ 4.728,74) versteigert.
