Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Below The Surface by Tchan Fou-Li for HKD 20,000.00 (€ 1,897.90). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Chinese Art at Sothebys in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 25,000.00 – 28,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tchan Fou-Li - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Des Voeux Road West, which sold at auction in October 2012 for HKD 47,500.00 (€ 4,728.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Below The Surface von Tchan Fou-Li für HKD 20.000,00 (€ 1.897,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 25.000,00 – 28.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tchan Fou-Li mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Des Voeux Road West beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für HKD 47.500,00 (€ 4.728,74) versteigert wurde.
