Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Singapore Fishing Village by Tay Bak Koi was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. The price achieved of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,537.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tay Bak Koi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Golden Harmony in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 71,143.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Singapore Fishing Village von Tay Bak Koi wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.537,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tay Bak Koi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Golden Harmony im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 71.143,20).
