Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Returning Buffaloes At Sunset by Tay Bak Koi. The price achieved of HKD 69,850.00 (€ 8,447.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tay Bak Koi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Golden Harmony in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 71,143.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Returning Buffaloes At Sunset von Tay Bak Koi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 69.850,00 (€ 8.447,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tay Bak Koi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Golden Harmony im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 71.143,20).
