Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Market Scene by Tay Bak Koi was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2019. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 14,497.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 180,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tay Bak Koi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Golden Harmony in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 71,143.20).

Die Arbeit Market Scene von Tay Bak Koi wurde im November 2019 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 14.497,69) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tay Bak Koi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Golden Harmony im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 71.143,20).
