Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2019 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Online, which included the work Landscape With Blue Tree by Tay Bak Koi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 17,500.00 (€ 2,001.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tay Bak Koi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Golden Harmony in April 2019 with an auction result of HKD 625,000.00 (€ 71,143.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape With Blue Tree von Tay Bak Koi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 17.500,00 (€ 2.001,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tay Bak Koi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Golden Harmony im April 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 625.000,00 (€ 71.143,20).
