Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Tassaduq Sohail was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,500.00 – 4,500.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,520.00 (€ 2,271.70). Other works by Tassaduq Sohail have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2019 by the work Each Page. at GBP 3,812.00 (€ 4,285.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Tassaduq Sohail im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.500,00 – 4.500,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.520,00 (€ 2.271,70) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Tassaduq Sohail wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Juni 2019 die Arbeit Each Page. mit GBP 3.812,00 (€ 4.285,25).
