Auction result well in line with expectations
In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction Photographs Now The Collector's Edition, which included the work The Ten Commandments, Buried "City of the Pharoah" Film Set by Taryn Simon. The price achieved of USD 4,160.00 (€ 3,774.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Taryn Simon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Larry Mayes, Scene of Arrest, The Royal Inn, Gary, Indiana. Police found Mayes hiding beneath a mattress in this room. Served 18,5 years of an 80-year sentence for rape, robbery and unlawful deviate. in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 18,060.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.160,00 (€ 3.774,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden.
