Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Plum Blossoms by Tao Shoubo was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 11,800.00 (€ 1,363.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tao Shoubo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cabbage and Mushrooms, which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,108.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Plum Blossoms von Tao Shoubo kam im Mai 2016 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 11.800,00 (€ 1.363,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Tao Shoubo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cabbage and Mushrooms beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.108,63) versteigert wurde.
