A top price for Tao Shoubo - as previously expected
The work Cabbage and Mushrooms by Tao Shoubo was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,108.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cabbage and Mushrooms is the most expensive artwork by Tao Shoubo that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Cabbage and Mushrooms von Tao Shoubo kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.108,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Cabbage and Mushrooms das teuerste Kunstwerk von Tao Shoubo, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
