Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Tao Shoubo achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in October last year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Plum Blossom sold for HKD 13,200.00 (€ 1,691.52) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tao Shoubo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cabbage and Mushrooms, which sold at auction in July 2020 for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,108.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Tao Shoubo erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei POLY einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Plum Blossom für HKD 13.200,00 (€ 1.691,52) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tao Shoubo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cabbage and Mushrooms beobachtet, die im Juli 2020 für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.108,63) versteigert wurde.
