Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction The Beauty of Brushes - A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 2, which included the work Plum Blossoms by Tao Shoubo. It changed hands for a price of HKD 5,900.00 (€ 681.93) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Tao Shoubo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cabbage and Mushrooms in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,108.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion The Beauty of Brushes - A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 2 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plum Blossoms von Tao Shoubo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 5.900,00 (€ 681,93) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tao Shoubo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cabbage and Mushrooms im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.108,63).
