Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2016 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction The Beauty of Brushes - A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 2, which included the work Plum Blossoms by Tao Shoubo. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 2,360.00 (€ 272.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Tao Shoubo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cabbage and Mushrooms in July 2020 with an auction result of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,108.63).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2016 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion The Beauty of Brushes - A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 2 durch, in der auch die Arbeit Plum Blossoms von Tao Shoubo zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 2.360,00 (€ 272,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Tao Shoubo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cabbage and Mushrooms im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.108,63).
