Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Mountain landscape by Tanomura Chokunyû for USD 2,820.00 (€ 3,135.77). This price was achieved in the auction JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tanomura Chokunyû - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Allegory of "Black and white rats", which sold at auction in September 2008 for USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,101.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mountain landscape von Tanomura Chokunyû für USD 2.820,00 (€ 3.135,77) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion JAPANESE AND KOREAN ART bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Tanomura Chokunyû mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Allegory of "Black and white rats" beobachtet, die im September 2008 für USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.101,77) versteigert wurde.
