Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Bonhams in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples, which included the work Manji-fuji by Takashi Murakami. The price achieved of USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,326.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Takashi Murakami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Lonesome Cowboy in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 15,161,000.00 (€ 9,743,573.26).
