Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art, which included the work Sunbather 5 by Kobayashi Takanobu. The price achieved of HKD 96,000.00 (€ 9,642.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kobayashi Takanobu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sunbather 1 in May 2008 with an auction result of HKD 511,500.00 (€ 42,109.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunbather 5 von Kobayashi Takanobu zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 96.000,00 (€ 9.642,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kobayashi Takanobu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sunbather 1 im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 511.500,00 (€ 42.109,99).
