A top price for Kobayashi Takanobu
In May 2008 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Sunbather 1 by Kobayashi Takanobu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 511,500.00 (€ 42,109.99), 28% above the upper estimate. With this result, Sunbather 1 is even the most expensive work of art by Kobayashi Takanobu that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sunbather 1 von Kobayashi Takanobu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 511.500,00 (€ 42.109,99) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Sunbather 1 sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Kobayashi Takanobu, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
