Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A figure walking to the right, wearing a traveller's hat (recto); A group of saints and prelates looking to the right (verso) by Taddeo Zuccaro was sold in the OLD MASTER DRAWINGS auction at Christies in New York in January 2001. Here, the upper estimate of USD 150,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 160,000.00 (€ 171,895.14). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Taddeo Zuccaro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A seated man and studies of male figures behind him, which sold at auction in October 2021 for USD 750,000.00 (€ 649,238.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A figure walking to the right, wearing a traveller's hat (recto); A group of saints and prelates looking to the right (verso) von Taddeo Zuccaro wurde im Januar 2001 in der Auktion OLD MASTER DRAWINGS bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 150.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 160.000,00 (€ 171.895,14) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Taddeo Zuccaro mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A seated man and studies of male figures behind him beobachtet, die im Oktober 2021 für USD 750.000,00 (€ 649.238,23) versteigert wurde.
