Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The artist's mother by Sylvia Gosse was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in February 2007. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,956.85). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sylvia Gosse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Fairground in November 2020 with an auction result of GBP 20,160.00 (€ 22,505.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The artist's mother von Sylvia Gosse wurde im Februar 2007 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.956,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sylvia Gosse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Fairground im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.160,00 (€ 22.505,36).
