Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2013 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Outside The Bullring, Madrid by Sylvia Gosse. The price achieved of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,126.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sylvia Gosse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Fairground, which sold at auction in November 2020 for GBP 20,160.00 (€ 22,505.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Outside The Bullring, Madrid von Sylvia Gosse zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.126,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sylvia Gosse mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Fairground beobachtet, die im November 2020 für GBP 20.160,00 (€ 22.505,36) versteigert wurde.
