Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2012 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Woman Drinking (The brimming bowl) by Sylvia Gosse. It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,502.76) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sylvia Gosse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Fairground in November 2020 with an auction result of GBP 20,160.00 (€ 22,505.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman Drinking (The brimming bowl) von Sylvia Gosse zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.502,76) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sylvia Gosse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Fairground im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 20.160,00 (€ 22.505,36).
