This artwork by Sydney Laurence achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year. In the Western Art auction, the work Northern Lights, Juneau, Alaska sold for USD 28,160.00 (€ 25,815.91) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sydney Laurence - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Cache, which sold at auction in December 2008 for USD 98,500.00 (€ 70,766.58).

Für andere Arbeiten von Sydney Laurence mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Cache beobachtet, die im Dezember 2008 für USD 98.500,00 (€ 70.766,58) versteigert wurde.
