Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,993.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sydney Harpley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Summer's Day, which sold at auction in July 2015 for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 30,125.36).
