A top price for Sydney Harpley
In July 2015 Christies in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art, which included the work A Summer's Day by Sydney Harpley. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 21,250.00 (€ 30,125.36), 42% above the upper estimate. With this result, A Summer's Day is even the most expensive work of art by Sydney Harpley that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British & Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Summer's Day von Sydney Harpley zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 30.125,36) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist A Summer's Day sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Sydney Harpley, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
