A top price for Sydney Harpley
In July 2015 Christies in London held the auction Modern British & Irish Art, which included the work A Summer's Day by Sydney Harpley. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 21,250.00 (€ 30,125.36), 42% above the upper estimate. With this result, A Summer's Day is even the most expensive work of art by Sydney Harpley that we have observed at auctions so far.
