Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2020 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Beach Ball II by Sydney Harpley. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,211.25 (€ 1,353.07). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sydney Harpley achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Summer's Day in July 2015 with an auction result of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 30,125.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Beach Ball II von Sydney Harpley zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.211,25 (€ 1.353,07) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sydney Harpley erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Summer's Day im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 30.125,36).
