Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Self-Portrait of The Artist by Sydney Adamson for GBP 120.00 (€ 176.30). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sydney Adamson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tangier in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,291.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Self-Portrait of The Artist von Sydney Adamson für GBP 120,00 (€ 176,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sydney Adamson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tangier im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.291,84).
