Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sydney Adamson could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Portrait of The Artist'S Wife, Bust-Length, In A Black Dress changed hands for GBP 120.00 (€ 176.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 250.00 – 300.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sydney Adamson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tangier in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,291.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sydney Adamson konnte im November 2005 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Portrait of The Artist'S Wife, Bust-Length, In A Black Dress für GBP 120,00 (€ 176,30) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 250,00 – 300,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sydney Adamson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tangier im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.291,84).
