Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Large Decorative Panel by Svetoslav Roerich was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in November 2018. The price achieved of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 63,448.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Svetoslav Roerich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of A Tibetan Woman And Her Granddaughter, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 262,400.00 (€ 207,858.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Large Decorative Panel von Svetoslav Roerich wurde im November 2018 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 63.448,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Svetoslav Roerich mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait of A Tibetan Woman And Her Granddaughter beobachtet, die im April 2006 für USD 262.400,00 (€ 207.858,05) versteigert wurde.
