Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Woman From The East by Svetoslav Roerich was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,252.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Svetoslav Roerich achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of A Tibetan Woman And Her Granddaughter in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 262,400.00 (€ 207,858.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A Woman From The East von Svetoslav Roerich kam im Juni 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.252,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Svetoslav Roerich erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of A Tibetan Woman And Her Granddaughter im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 262.400,00 (€ 207.858,05).
