Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Suzy Frelinghuysen was sold in the American Paintings auction at Christies in New York in September 2009. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,262.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Suzy Frelinghuysen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 552,500.00 (€ 487,944.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Suzy Frelinghuysen wurde im September 2009 in der Auktion American Paintings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.262,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Suzy Frelinghuysen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 552.500,00 (€ 487.944,89).
