Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2005 a collector was able to acquire the work Oimatsu zu (Old pine tree) by Suzuki Shonen for USD 180.00 (€ 149.28). This price was achieved in the auction Japanese and Korean Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Suzuki Shonen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autumn Grasses And Flowers; Reverse of Each Screen With Silhouettes of Mountains In Gold Leaf in March 2005 with an auction result of USD 9,000.00 (€ 6,939.63).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2005 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Oimatsu zu (Old pine tree) von Suzuki Shonen für USD 180,00 (€ 149,28) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Japanese and Korean Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Suzuki Shonen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autumn Grasses And Flowers; Reverse of Each Screen With Silhouettes of Mountains In Gold Leaf im März 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.000,00 (€ 6.939,63).
