Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Alder Brook I, 2011 by Susan Derges was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in March 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,611.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Susan Derges have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected Images From 'Full Circle' in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,958.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Alder Brook I, 2011 von Susan Derges wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.611,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Susan Derges auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected Images From 'Full Circle' im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 23.750,00 (€ 20.958,35).
