In September 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Indian and Southeast Asian Art including Modern and, which included the work Pernoctation (Cuckoonebulopolis) by Surendran Nair. The »bidding war« ended at USD 72,000.00 (€ 59,711.39), 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Surendran Nair; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Labyrinth Of Eternal Delight sold at auction in December 2014 with the realized price of INR 6,225,000.00 (€ 81,278.41).

Im September 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Indian and Southeast Asian Art including Modern and durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pernoctation (Cuckoonebulopolis) von Surendran Nair zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 59.711,39) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Surendran Nair; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Labyrinth Of Eternal Delight im Dezember 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von INR 6.225.000,00 (€ 81.278,41).
