In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online auction, the work King Fisher (Study For A Painting) sold for USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,112.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Surendran Nair have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Labyrinth Of Eternal Delight in December 2014 with an auction result of INR 6,225,000.00 (€ 81,278.41).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Surendran Nair erzielte im März 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit King Fisher (Study For A Painting) für USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.112,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Surendran Nair auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Labyrinth Of Eternal Delight im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von INR 6.225.000,00 (€ 81.278,41).
