Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Labyrinth of Brahma's Solitude or The Adventures of Zeus (Corollary Mythologies) by Surendran Nair was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2021. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,890.00 (€ 2,239.14) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Surendran Nair achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Labyrinth Of Eternal Delight in December 2014 with an auction result of INR 6,225,000.00 (€ 81,278.41).

Die Arbeit Labyrinth of Brahma's Solitude or The Adventures of Zeus (Corollary Mythologies) von Surendran Nair wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.890,00 (€ 2.239,14) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Surendran Nair erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Labyrinth Of Eternal Delight im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von INR 6.225.000,00 (€ 81.278,41).
