Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Kebun Binatang (Zoo) by Suraji. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 212,500.00 (€ 24,561.07), 18% above the upper estimate. Other works by Suraji have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 27,181.81) in May 2019 for the work Aceh Vs. Jogja.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kebun Binatang (Zoo) von Suraji zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 24.561,07) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Suraji haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 27.181,81) im Mai 2019 für die Arbeit Aceh Vs. Jogja beobachtet.
