Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Horses) by Sunil Das was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2012. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,624.72) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sunil Das have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Friends 1 in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,256.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Horses) von Sunil Das wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.624,72) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sunil Das auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Friends 1 im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.256,29).
