Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Horse Studies) by Sunil Das for USD 2,375.00 (€ 1,927.76). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sunil Das achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Friends 1 in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,256.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Horse Studies) von Sunil Das für USD 2.375,00 (€ 1.927,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sunil Das erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Friends 1 im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.256,29).
