In September 2019 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Horses IV by Sunil Das. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,450.71), 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sunil Das - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Friends 1, which sold at auction in July 2007 for USD 36,000.00 (€ 26,256.29).

Im September 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Horses IV von Sunil Das zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.450,71) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Sunil Das mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Friends 1 beobachtet, die im Juli 2007 für USD 36.000,00 (€ 26.256,29) versteigert wurde.
