Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rocks by Sun Kehong was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2013. The price achieved of USD 47,500.00 (€ 35,094.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sun Kehong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 3,440,000.00 (€ 397,600.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rocks von Sun Kehong kam im September 2013 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 35.094,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sun Kehong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.440.000,00 (€ 397.600,36).
