Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Flowers by Sun Kehong. The price achieved of USD 93,750.00 (€ 74,239.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sun Kehong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 3,440,000.00 (€ 397,600.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flowers von Sun Kehong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 93.750,00 (€ 74.239,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sun Kehong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.440.000,00 (€ 397.600,36).
