Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sun Kehong achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Five-Character Poems in Running-Cursive Script sold for HKD 275,000.00 (€ 30,044.99) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sun Kehong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 3,440,000.00 (€ 397,600.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sun Kehong erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Five-Character Poems in Running-Cursive Script für HKD 275.000,00 (€ 30.044,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sun Kehong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.440.000,00 (€ 397.600,36).
