In May 2016 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Calligraphy in Clerical Script by Sun Kehong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 87,500.00 (€ 10,113.38), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sun Kehong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 3,440,000.00 (€ 397,600.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2016 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy in Clerical Script von Sun Kehong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 10.113,38) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sun Kehong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.440.000,00 (€ 397.600,36).
