Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cause And Effect by Do-Ho Suh was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 2,480,000.00 (€ 279,409.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Do-Ho Suh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Some/One, which sold at auction in November 2012 for USD 782,500.00 (€ 601,460.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cause And Effect von Do-Ho Suh wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 2.480.000,00 (€ 279.409,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Do-Ho Suh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Some/One beobachtet, die im November 2012 für USD 782.500,00 (€ 601.460,42) versteigert wurde.
