This artwork by Sue Williams achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in October 2020. In the First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Lower Half sold for GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,268.20) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sue Williams have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work New Yellow and Orange in September this year with an auction result of USD 127,000.00 (€ 119,992.44).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Sue Williams erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open: Post-War & Contemporary Art Online wurde die Arbeit Lower Half für GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.268,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sue Williams auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit New Yellow and Orange im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 127.000,00 (€ 119.992,44).
