In the British and Continental Watercolours and Oriental auction, the work 'The couple putting up the christmas tree' sold for GBP 1,140.00 (€ 1,654.65) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sue Macartney-Snape - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sunday morning in the shires, which sold at auction in December 2004 for GBP 3,346.00 (€ 4,735.51).
